Pocket Sized Productions has won the 2011 Spring Mocksides Ulitimate Filmmaker Challenge. The Film "Dr. Charles Stone and the Seven Trans-Dimensional Jumps" Directed by David Quakenbush(We Drink it Black) and starring Daniel Cota, Rachael West and Swann Christopher. Rachael West was also awarded "Best Actress". We are very excited about this award and are looking forward to many new projects.
We're kind of a big thing in little films...

Mocksides Ultimate Filmmakers Challenge

Pocket Sized Productions was formed to show it is possible to produce high quality films, commercials, PSA's and new media productions using only technology available to the average film maker. We don't have "Reds", We don't have High end Sony's, Heck we don't even have a "C" Stand. We shoot exclusively on items that fit in a Backpack(Well actually this has evolved into a large tool box). Currently we shoot primarily on phones, The IPHONE 4 to be specific. Not only because it produces exceptional video but as someone once told me "The best Camera to shoot with is the one you have"
Equipment:
We currently use a diversified selection of commercially available low-cost equipment. With one simple rule. It must be easily carried and able to fit within a single carrying case. No big Cameras, Expensive sound units, or large light systems
Camera:
Our primary Camera is the IPHONE 4, It is able to shoot 720P at 30 fps, we are not completely apple snobs though and will use any other mobile device including other brand phones, Helmet Cams, and even small dedicated Cameras.
Sound:
Currently we are using a H2 Zoom Digital Audio Recorder. It provides exceptional audio clarity and is very portable. We are able to boom it easily and get it into the action through the use of a customized shock mount and boom pole.
